Welcome to the future of the construction industry in Canada…

That’s a bold statement, we know. But our future does depend on the people who build our homes and the buildings we work in, the roads and bridges we drive on, and the oil refineries that provide us with energy.

The Construction Sector Council (CSC) was created so that Canadians would have the most skilled and professional construction workforce in the world. Using a made–in–Canada approach that partners business and labour, the CSC works to meet the human resources challenges facing the industry.

As a national partnership, the CSC can provide the information and knowledge tools you need to make informed and strategic decisions – whether you are a large or small contractor, a labour group, an owner organization, a student, or a representative from government. Construction Foreman National Occupational Analysis Validation Survey

The Construction Sector Council's (CSC) third annual Construction Looking Forward Summaries of Labour Requirements, National and Provincial, are now available. The analysis includes employment requirements, the available workforce, training and certification programs and replacement demand for more than 30 trades and occupations in 14 regional markets.

Government of Canada's new Apprenticeship Incentive Grant

The Apprenticeship Incentive Grant (AIG) is a taxable cash grant available to registered apprentices once they have successfully completed their first or second year (level) of an apprenticeship program in one of the Red Seal trades.
