Understanding Contractor Capacity

The CSC recently conducted research to develop an approach for describing the contractor community. This research looks at factors impacting contractors and goes beyond labour requirements to consider all aspects of a contractor’s business. With this project, a new tool has been developed to help owners, contractors, government, training providers and labour groups plan for the addition of new capacity. Five contractor sectors and regions were chosen for the initial round of contractor profiles:

• National painting contractors
• Ontario electrical contractors
• Ontario general contractors
